ABOUT MONUMENT DANCE CENTRE
Monument Ballet School was founded by Louise Murray in 1983, within a few years the dance school had outgrown its community centre venues and a search was launched to find suitable commercial premises. Easter Cornton Farmhouse was purchased and the farm outbuildings were converted into beautiful dance studios. The studios are now known as Monument Dance Centre which offers a range of Dance classes for all ages.

Welcome to Monument Dance Centre we hope you enjoy your class. You can register your child on the following links – or we can do it for you.
This centre has ample car parking space located at the main entrance for ease of access, two modern dance studios, toilets, shower and two large changing areas.
The Centre at Causewayhead also has a Dance Supplies Shop selling all styles of dancewear, shoes and accessories.
Monument Dance Centre produces a show every two years and pupils also have the opportunity to sit exams with Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). Our exam results are consistently excellent with 100% pass rate and many pupils gaining distinction.
Although the atmosphere is relaxed and the emphasis is always on enjoyment of dance, all pupils learn to work in a disciplined manner which ensures good progress and leads to the achievement of high performance standards.
In 2005 Monument Dance Centre was awarded Approved Dance Centre Status by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. This allows us to offer teaching exams: In 2008 MDC gained Approval as a presenting centre for SQA Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre course. We also offer mentoring for RAD Certificate and Diploma RAD Assistant Dance Teacher Award, Silver Swans classes
